This journey has been surprising for me. At first there was a concern it would be too difficult for me regulate my eating in this way. The total opposite has proven true and I am thrilled with the results. As a person with a bit of a emotional food addiction, it has proven to help me in that regard as well. Fasting has proven to improve my health, both physically and emotionally.
Here are the highlights of Week #04 fasting experience:
Note: The morning routine of ingesting an 8 ounce glass of filtered water with a supplement continues this week.
Basically this week I am in full swing of intermittent fasting and absolutely enjoying the process. My health has increased so much that I just cannot imagine going back to my old lifestyle of eating. If I get a craving for something, and I feel my body can handle that food, I eat it in moderation. There are days my hunger is in high gear, and other days not so much. This has been a complete week of 18:6 which suits my lifestyle easily. The benefits of this lifestyle far outweigh any possible disadvantages in my life.
It has been suggested that one can "cheat" with intermittent fasting. My food intake has been substantially self-regulated, to improve my health, for decades. It is not always easy and paying attention to my physical body has always taught me what food seemed to stress it. I tested this with an ice cream bar this week, and again my body shouted loud and clear the dislike to ingredients within the bar. It did not take long to clear the damage helping the healing by ingesting Activated Charcoal.
For anyone interested, I will continue on this journey and report intermittently on my success.
Summary of Health Improvements (in one month):
Sleep improvement
The itchy rash almost healed
The issue with my tooth continues to heal
Energy levels higher
Daily aches and pains completely disappeared (arthritis)
Food cravings rare
Slow and steady weight loss
A natural supplement glutathione has been successfully removed from my diet without any adverse effects
Heading into week 5 I will attempt a full 72 hours or more of fasting.
