Life Skills for Children
Many people believe that children have life easy. They do not have to worry about adult things like the finances of not only earning money, buy paying bills, housing, vehicles, food, clothing, health accessories, and much more!
However, children are dealing with a lot more than the children of the 20th century with the state of the world these days. Just look to the pressures they lived through beginning 2020 when Covid hit the world and turned it upside down. Add that to the division of humanity and gender questioning, etc. and they know not what to think. Children today must be confused indeed.
Arriving home from school they may talk of how great their day was, plus some incidents of bullying and/or how the teachers expect them to conform to the school system. Although some children learn and accept the dynamics of the system, many do not and it causes undue stress and deterioration of their self esteem.
Did you know there are 3 different learning styles that we have no control over. We are all born with our own unique learning style which can cause us a lifetime of distress.
The 3 Learning Styles:
Visual - learns best visually through reading, pictures, charts, and graphs
Auditory - learns best through verbal communication of talking and listening
Kinaesthetic - learns best in a dynamic session hands on and physical moving
It's not hard to figure how so many children are struggling daily in the school setting. If they do not fit into the mold of how the teachers relay the information to the students, they suffer. Not only is it stressful for the child but they can be labelled as trouble makers with emotional issues.
The child could be very intelligent but is viewed as less than smart because they are not a visual or auditory learner. This takes a high toll on the child's self-esteem and the more they fail at learning, the deeper they go into a pit of despair and the vicious circle goes round and round with no end in sight. Soon the child could be feeling lost and begin to give up by no fault of their own.
The school system is very high on suggesting parents get their child tested for things like ADHD and then put them on permanent pharmaceutical medicine to lower their physical energy.
Why is the school system not recognizing the different learning styles of our children?
Why have they adopted pharmaceutical medicine as an option to make the students docile?
It then becomes extremely important for the parents to recognize what is happening in the school system in an attempt to help their child(ren).
